What Is A BrainTap Session Like?

BrainTap is science made  accessible to everyone.

It’s not just a cool science toy. It’s based on research about how certain forms of light and sound affect the way your brain works, and it uses that information to help you relax.

BrainTap uses a unique headset that sends light and sound pulses to your brain.

The sounds are designed for maximum relaxation—they’re smooth, slow beats with no lyrics or words—and they sync up perfectly with the flashing lights inside your eyeshades. Together, these two things work together to send signals down through your forehead and into your prefrontal cortex to tell your body to relax completely.

BrainTap’s light and sound stimulation help you relax, focus and sleep better. It also helps keep you alert during long work sessions and increases energy levels when you need them most.

After your session, you may experience a sense of well-being that lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 24 hours—depending on how many times you’ve used it.

BrainTap’s technology is based on research about how certain forms of light and sound affect the way your brain works.

Our brains operate on different frequencies, so when we are in an alert state or in deep sleep, we’re operating at a different wavelength than when we’re daydreaming or meditating.

Brainwaves are measured in Hertz (Hz) and range from 1 to 100 Hz. Each brainwave pattern has its own function: Beta waves (13–30 Hz) are associated with active mental processes and peak concentration; alpha waves (8–13 Hz) occur during periods of relaxation and meditation; theta waves (4–7 Hz) occur during deep relaxation; delta waves (< 4 Hz) occur during deep sleep.

When our brain is stimulated by an external stimulus like sound or light, it creates electricity that travels throughout the nervous system via neurons.

As these electrical impulses travel across axons (the part of a neuron responsible for sending signals), they become weaker over time until they can no longer be detected by receptors located at synapses between neurons.

An EEG device detects this activity by placing electrodes on various parts of your head so that it can record your electrical activity as it passes through those areas.

By looking at the patterns created by these electric signals over time – known as brainwaves – doctors can determine whether there has been any damage done to specific regions of your brain due to injury or disease like Alzheimer’s disease.

Studies have shown that when people use light-and-sound technology while they’re sleeping, they wake up more refreshed.

You may have heard of light and sound technology being used to treat sleep disorders. Studies have shown that when people use light-and-sound technology while they’re sleeping, they wake up more refreshed than if they were sleeping without it.

The sessions are recorded according to your unique needs, making sure that the sounds are at just the right volume for you. We’ll ask about any medications or medical conditions so we can make sure the session is tailored specifically for you.
